Council is responsible for the planting, care and maintenance of street trees and trees in parks which it owns or has Committee of Management responsibilities for that are on Crown Land.

The Borough has a quarterly tree planting program which aspires to plant native trees when requested by ratepayers.

This program was developed because planting trees/shrubs on Council nature strips is prohibited without prior approval.
